Lisa Wray - Administration
HAVING relocated from Hawke's Bay in mid-2020 Lisa Wray is living in new territory but, for her, working at Three Rivers Medical is a bit of a homecoming.
“I worked at Hastings Health Centre for more than 10 years so it feels like an extension of that,” says the Gisborne centre's reception and administration manager.
In addition to the expected paperwork and administration, Lisa's job in Gisborne involves organising a pool of 10 receptionists to cover the four shifts needed to ensure there is always a solid team to greet patients, deal with inquiries and book appointments.
“So there is a fair bit of juggling to do and it can get pretty hectic, but I love to be busy and the team always handles it well.”
And at the end of the day Lisa gets to return to the quiet of the 120-hectare block at Te Karaka where she lives with husband Richard and their daughter and son-in-law, with their new baby.
“We wanted to get out of the rat race and there is lots of hill country and native bush . . . it's so beautiful and peaceful,” she says.
“Richard takes care of the farm but his real passion is hunting so there are always lots of venison steaks and sausages to throw on the barbecue.”
